Don't you just hate it when someone is late? +/- 5-10 mins is ok but anything more than that, to me, is unacceptable.Generally I get frustrated when people are late, because it indicates that they do not respect my time. What makes their time more important that I have to sacrifice mine?
What made me write about this?
Yesterday I had a meeting with a certain someone, who made me wait for 1 hr 30 minutes before seeing me!!!!! Terrible, isn't it? When I relate this experience to a friend, later the same day, her first reaction was "& you didnt walk out and leave??????" She knows that I am known to just pack up & leave meetings/appointments if the other parties do not show up within a specific time.
Subsequently when that person arrived, at least, he had the decency to apologise, that helped a bit.
( I used to have a friend who thinks its ok to make me wait for 1+ hours, no apologies, nothing - well, save to say, that person is no longer a friend!!)
Time is something everyone has equally of - 24 hours in a day, so dont waste other ppls' time.
A word of advice, The next time, if you're out to meet me & you cannot be on time - BE EARLY!!!
